I arrived at the White House page for EO 14217 only to find this:
I was going to sign up for grins, but I think I’ll text “HELP” instead (not).
Since when am I a “customer” and not a citizen? Is there something the White House emits that is not “promotional material”? And I have to give them my [family blogging] phone number? Also, this isn’t “one more step”; this is the only step. I didn’t arrive here on my way from the shopping cart to the payment page ffs. And maybe we can go into the typographic details later.
