DOGE’s work started after the inauguration in January and continued through February, but it’d be a little presumptuous to expect lots of results in February. Luckily we just got the CBO’s monthly budget report for March. Since March didn’t start until over three weeks after the President stated that tens of billions had already been found, we’d expect to see a substantial drop in the spending numbers for that month. There you have it! After three months of taking a chainsaw to the federal government, DOGE has reduced monthly federal expenditures by…sorry, I mean increased them by $45 billion compared to last year. At this rate, it will only take infinity more years to completely eradicate the deficit!
